Owner & Creative Director

Matthew Connar, BFA

Matt graduated from West Virginia University, majoring in graphic art with a special focus on photography and psychology.

A week before graduation, Matt was hired for a position as an in-house graphic artist within a twenty-five member marketing department at MeriStar Hotels & Resorts. At the time, MeriStar owned and managed over 256 resorts & hotels internationally. While at MeriStar he developed marketing material for each property along with the food & beverage outlets within them.

After 2 years in the hospitality arena, Matt set out to sharpen his skills in another industry. He was hired as an art director at Chico’s FAS, an upscale women’s retail corporation which operates over 1,000 specialty stores. At Chico’s he played an integral part in national ad campaigns and was responsible for point-of-purchase creative materials for all stores and outlets.

In early 2002 Matthew left the security of a salaried position with benefits to venture forth on his own. Boost Creative was successfully born!

Years later, Boost is still a thriving company that welcomes a broad range of new clients. Boost has had feature articles written about them in the News-Press success story column and the business spotlight section of CapeCoral.com

Matt’s specialty is brand identity and advertising concepts. He is actively involved in the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce, serving on the board of directors and education committee. He also serves on the board of directors for the Gulf Coast Symphony. In 2013, he co-founded Taste of the Cape, which is a collaborative effort between both organizations.

Additionally, Matt was selected as one of Gulfshore Business Magazine’s top 40 under Forty business professionals. He was also recognized in 2015 as board member of the year for the Cape Coral Chamber. He currently resides in Cape Coral with his wife and four children.

Senior Web Developer

Andy Brazil, BFA

I was born in Three Bridges, NJ, but moved shortly after being born to Oklahoma, then Kansas, and finally Georgia when I was nine years old. I grew up in Atlanta and went to high school in Marietta, GA. During high school, I taught myself how to build my first website while being an avid video gamer. I also played baseball for 10 years and marched on the drumline, playing bass drum. I graduated in 2006 and moved to Birmingham, AL to attend Samford University, where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design in the fall of 2011. I gained a great knowledge of art history, traditional print design, and web design.  As time went on I realized that I was more interested in the digital aspect of design. I enjoy making static designs come to life on the screen and web.

Two weeks after graduating college, I began working as an Interactive Designer at a small web design company in Birmingham for the next two years, increasing my knowledge and skills of design and development. After a while, I was in need of a big change in my life. I started looking for a new job, and was lucky enough to find BOOST. I accepted the job and moved down to Fort Myers in April 2014.

I love to go fishing on the weekends, as well as eat at all the different local restaurants around town. I enjoy cooking, playing drums, and listening to live music. I’m a huge Atlanta Braves fan and love to play baseball. Photography and video are also other big passions of mine that I like to work on in my spare time.

Graphic Designer

Brielle Curvey, BFA

Brielle, our lovable wunderkind, grew up in the tiny dairy town of Middleton Massachusetts. Amongst the cows, she spent every day drawing, and cultivating a love of fine art and elegant design (but also the Boston Bruins). Her practice paid off because despite being almost entirely composed of meat and water she was able to follow her dream of attending the Rhode Island School of Design. In school, she became obsessed with typography and has never met a serif she didn’t like. After graduating with her BFA in Graphic Design she finally escaped the bitter cold, moved to Florida, and joined the BOOST Creative team.

When she’s not pushing pixels around, Brielle loves to draw and paint while listening to her extensive CD collection. She’s taking full advantage of Florida beaches, but also loves to travel whenever the opportunity arises. Be sure to challenge her to a tennis match if you get the chance.

Web Developer

Henry Dollman

I’m a Floridian since childhood, when my family left Michigan to live first in Miami, then in the Fort Myers area. My introduction to web development came via Flash and Dreamweaver as a student at Fort Myers High School, but I decided to set that aside to pursue a degree in history at Florida Gulf Coast University.

While in college I worked at a local travel agency and helped them get their first site online. It wasn’t the prettiest thing ever, to put it mildly, but it felt great to help the company take a step forward. From there I started researching more modern methods of web development and made some cool things, like a client database for the travel agency, and a tool for nonprofits to build their own websites with donation functionality. I would create things I thought people might like, release them for free on open source focused websites, and hope somebody got some good use out of it. Through this process I got feedback from more accomplished people and was able to learn from their work. Eventually I decided on making career of it, and that has become reality at Boost Creative.

Henry's Strengths

  • Modern single page web applications
  • Third party API integration
  • Service workers
  • Fast loading sites

Brand Communications Manager

Chelsea Lookhart, MFA

Chelsea grew up in the tiny palindrome town of Apollo, PA just north of Pittsburgh. Writing has been a passion for her since she wrote her first children’s book in third grade. From client interaction to collaborating with a team, there are so many parts of developing a marketing campaign that are not only essential, but FUN to be a part of. After graduating Shippensburg University with her Bachelor’s in Communication/Journalism, she decided she wasn’t done with school yet. In 2012, she graduated from Full Sail University with a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing where she gained a great deal of knowledge in writing for different audiences and how to write in the age of digital advertisement. Some may say that she is as passionate about school as she is about writing, because she is currently attending Capella University to pursue her PhD in Marketing. This wizard of words enjoys anything from social media posts to website content.

Since moving to SWFL, Chelsea has married her high school sweetheart, gained another basset hound (making two in total), and has now joined the BOOST team to develop her brand communication skills even further. If she’s not creating content than she is watching Pittsburgh sports year round. She bleeds black and gold, loves trying out new restaurants and spends most of her time studying for that PhD – just so people have to call her doctor!
